John Deere"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Stick People, the Series. <\/p>\n<p>Hugh and I have been photographing these stick figures for as long as stick figures have been boarding the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tfl.gov.uk\/modalpages\/2625.aspx\">London Tube<\/a> with no feet . . . or meeting unspeakable ends in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thefreequark.com\/2009\/12\/stick-men-in-danger-2\/\">high-voltage utility boxes<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>Imagine my delight when I learned there was a Flickr group called <a href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/groups\/stickfiguresinperil\/\">Stick Figures in Peril<\/a>  &#8212; with a corresponding group known as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/groups\/stickfiguresincontrol\/\">Stick Figures Who Have the Situation Under Control<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>As you might have figured, <i>Situation Under Control<\/i> is a photo pool of stick figures doing things like pumping gas without setting themselves on fire . . . or crossing the road successfully on their footless stumps. I don&#8217;t have a catalog of stick figures who aren&#8217;t in trouble.
